Isle of Man Steam Packet supports our trustee John Whitehouse

We are grateful to the Isle of Man Steam Packet, through their Manx Community Assistance Scheme, for supporting one of our trustees John Whitehouse with his fundraising efforts for Cruse. They are supporting John with his travel arrangements so he can travel to Scotland to walk the West Highland Way in April.

This is one of five physical challenges John is doing in 2025 to raise awareness and funds for us. John and his family have been long time supporters of Cruse, which led to him joining our board in November 2024.

The five challenges John is undertaking in 2025 include:

  1. Walking the West Highland Way in April, a distance of 97-mile from Milngavie (north of Glasgow) to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands.
  2. The Manx Telecom Parish Walk in June
  3. The Cruse Bereavement Support Swim in July
  4. Walking the Raad ny Foillan in August.
  5. His fifth challenge is to be decided but John is keen to continue his challenges for 2025.

John has set himself the target of raising £2,000 per challenge and has set up a JustGiving page where he explains why he is undertaking these challenges, and where you can also donate to help him reach his fundraising goal!
